Poured a light copper hue with a one finger frothy white heads. There was good retention and lacing.

The smell featured a balmy cereal malt, some alcohol and a light fruity hop.

The taste was upfront sweet cereal malts coupled with a dry noble hop.

The mouthfeel was typical of this hybrid style.

Overall a tasty pils(?). Not a style I support, but tasty nonetheless.

This is a fantastic beer. Never had an "Imperial Pils" before, but this is pretty much what you would expect.. a stronger Pilsner with a lot more flavor. Fruity and hoppy but much more balanced than its Imperial IPA cousin, this was extremely drinkable and refreshing.

Wow, this is something I had never had or seen before. What is an Imperial Pilsner? Well, THIS has got to be it. Think of a Pilsner on steroids. But tastier.
Poured into NOT another generic pint glass (I was overjoyed). Hazy and pale hay-colored in the flute, good carbonation, good white head.
Aroma is hops and citrus, grassy and biscuity tones. Lots going on. Malt? Where did that come from in a Pilsner? Not bad though.
Heavy on the floral hops, alcohol, fruits (namely citrus) and more mild hints of yeasts, biscuit, and grasses and herbs. Mild malts, but still a little hint of them in there.
Mouthfeel reminded me more of an IPA; bitter and floral, strong alcohol and sweet fruits underneath. This somehow finished drier and cleaner, as a good Pilsner should be (accoring to yours truly). Good carbonation.
Damn, I gotta say, despite its decieving 7.8% ABV, this was enjoyable to no end. You'll get tipsy, yes, but its worth enjoying more than one of these. My eyes have been opened to a new style. Thanks, CBW.

On tap at the brewpub.

This beer is just good, straight 4s sum it up, I think.

Golden with a fluffy white head. Looks very much like a tripel without the rockiness of the head.

Smell is nice Saaz or maybe Hallertau hops, very herbal and kind of spicy with a definite citrus presence. Not grapefruit like an IPA, but lemon. Malty balance is really good and the alcohol smell is maybe a little boozy.

Taste is similar with a distinct malty kind of...sourness? Bready, but at the same time, not that sweet. Hops continue along the lines of an earthy or lemony presence.

Mouthfeel is crisp and substantial and good.

I could stand a few of these, but with the Maibock on tap right now, the Pils is more of a change of pace kind of beer next to the Mad Brewer Maibock.

Appears a cloudy golden hue with a nice sized fluffy bright white head leaves behind fine scattered lacing, nice. Aroma has herbal Saaz hops with citrus and lemon grass tones and some malty alcoholic toned biscuit toasty malt layers. Flavor contains a healthy amount of bitterness fresh cut lemongrass tones with citrus peels and other herbal highlights brought on by the Saaz finishes a with the dry biscuit tone a little maltier in the finish than a typical pils with alcohol evident. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied evenly carbonated stays on the palate with the alcohol and hop profile combo. Drinkability very quaffable great representation of this style aggressive with the hop yet balanced.
