On tap at Church Brew Works. 16 oz shaker $ 6.36 ($ 0.397/oz). 9/13/17.
Aroma – weak chocolate smell.
Head – chopped by bartender. What remains is tan, average density. Better than average retention, diminishing to a three mm ring and a thin complete layer.
Lacing – excellent. Complete rings of tiny to small bubbles.
Body – dark brown, clear.
Flavor – some chocolate malt and that’s it. No hops, no alcohol, no diacetyl. Ends with some malt bitterness.
Palate – moderate, almost creamy, soft carbonation.
Just another average brown ale.
Appearance 3.5, Aroma 3.5, Flavor 3, Palate 3.25, Overall 3.
