Served in pint glass at Church Brew Works in Pittsburgh, PA on 11/25/07.
A - Very attractive chestnut body with ruby and amber hues and creamy, off-white head. Tiny effervescent bubbles with an average density. Nice looking brew!
S - Lots of grain in the nose as well as some sweet caramel notes and some lightly toasted malts. Mostly grainy, but also some mild grassy and herbal hops, as well as a tinge of alcohol, in the nose.
T - Sweet grains up front with a lightly bitter overall flavor. Average finish duration that's crisp and mildly bitter. Some toasted grain and cereal aspects as well. Hops are predominantly grassy and earthy.
M - Medium body with a lightly syrupy texture, soft carbonation and a dry, crisp and bitter finish.
D - Very tasty brew. Nice and grainy with a very mild hop bite to even things out. You can definitely taste the grains in this brew.

This poured a deep brown-gold with a medium head and decent lacing on the glass.
The nost consisted mostly of sweet malt and dark fruits. Maybe some molasses in there, and definitely some hops.
Raisin and spice in the taste, along with almost burnt sugar and roasted malt. Dark fruits and plenty of hops as well. Very enjoyable.
The mouthfeel was slightly dry at first but faded into a semi-sweet aftertaste.
Overall a decent fall beer but nothing outstanding.
