A-Deep copper with a thin tan head. Reduces to a loose ring.

S-Sweet notes with some interesting hefe yeast notes. A bit of Belgian candi sugar aromas come thru in the end. Overall aroma is light.

T-Rich, robust sweetness overlaid with the typical banana, clove, spice bite from hefe yeast. A slight kick of hop bite in the finish.

M-Medium-full body with a bit of cloying. Soild, and full-flavoured with good smoothness.

D-Fairly well done offering with this somewhat unusual style. A bit too sweet for me. Certainly interesting to have one but that is where I will end it.

A - Pours the deep, reddish bronze color of strong iced tea. Good clarity with a faint haze. Minimal carbonation produced a sliver of off-white head that is fleeting.

S - The Hefeweizen yeast is predominant in the aroma with a rich, sweet banana ester presence, almost like banana custard pie. Stronger in the nose than their normal hefeweizen thats on now as well. Honeysuckle and grassy notes add earthy sweetness.

T - Starts off sweet with notes of banana, honey, and apple. Flavor dries out with a spicy kick of wheat and alcohol. Bittersweet baking chocolate and brown sugar, with the return of the alcohol with a plum wine flavor. Finishes with a flowery noble hops bitterness.

M - Low carbonation, but not watery. Chewy, slightly viscous mouthfeel.

D - A unique, and well done offering from CBW. I really like the pairing of the Hefeweizen yeast with the barleywine style grain bill. The alcohol does play a strong role in the flavor, but its not overly boozy at all.
