"CBW teamed up with Nubyjas Wilborn (Pirates sports writer/Post Gazette) to create an Ethiopian Breakfast Stout. First we brewed an Imperial Stout and barrel aged it 3 months. Secondly, we brewed our very own Ethiopian honey wine called "Tej" and blended them together. Lastly, we used an Ethiopian coffee called Yirgacheffe and blended after a cold press. All the flavors of chocolate, coffee, gesho, vanilla, and honey are present and work harmoniously. Savor this one - as it warms, more flavors come through. We recommend it be around 55 degrees for maximum flavor."

On tap at Church Brew Works. Reviewed 10/13/19 from found notes, probably from 2018.
Appearance – 3.
First pour – N/A – done by bartender and eventually delivered to my table.
Body – Dark brown/black, opaque, weak effervescence.
Head – Chopped by bartender, tan, very tiny bubbles, thin complete cap.
Lacing – None.
Aroma – 2.5 – Initially burning plastic. As it warms toward room temperature, produces coffee aroma.
Flavor – 3 – Slightly sweet with coffee and dates. Ends with vanilla. No alcohol (9.3% ABV) flavor or aroma, no diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 3 – Medium, slightly oily, light carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3. Average, drinkable, one and done forever.
