Had on tap at the source,
A nice midnight brown color with a tannish head, slightly small, but the lacing and retention are both pretty nice. I think small head was the bartenders pull more than the beer's fault.
The smell is dominated by the roasted grains thatt are expected, some coffee and chocolate notes can be found hiding as well.
The taste and mouthfeel combine quite nicely in this beer, the astringency of the roasted grains is washed away rapidly by the silky oatmeal mouth, very nice combination. They work together quite well to make this a very nice, drinkable package.
