Hefebrosia has a cloudy yellow body that has hints of orange, making it almost a russet color. It has a thick-looking, white head. The retention and lacing are both OK.
The aroma has a good bit of spice to it, with a hint of fruit and sourness.
This is a pretty good beer. Definitely not a hefeweizen, this is some form of American Pale Wheat Ale. Light fruit mixes with banana and a little bit of clove. Bread is followed by a huge wheat twang that has a distinctive yet mellow sourness to it. This beer is definitely spiced also; maybe chammomile and a few others? There is some citrus notes to this also, but it definitely is not coming from hops. I doubt there are any hops in this one actually (maybe a pinch?); it reminds me of a heather ale or gruit in that way. It tastes a little bit like I would expect potpourri to taste, but in a pleasant way.
Not quite as big and creamy as I would like, but not bad either.
This one was pretty refreshing and easy to drink. A good beer overall, one of the better beers that I have run into at CBW. This is a gruit crossed with a hefeweizen. I entered it as an American Pale Wheat because I didn't think this one fit into the Hefeweizen category well enough, if anything gruit would have been my next choice.
