Church Brew Works : Overkill
Pours a dark orange with a chill haze and small soapy head which provides good lacing down the glass. Full aroma of pine, citrus, sweet malt and earth. In the flavor, a nice assertive hoppy bite, very piney (amarillo, simcoe?) and some citrus notes underneath. The malt bill does only enough to balance, with a small caramel/roasted malt note. Its all about the hops in this one, solid bitterness, good earthy hop flavor. I'd take Overkill over Underkill any day when it comes to IPAs. This is one of the most solid offerings Church Brew Works has put out, would certainly have again, as I had 2 in this sitting.
