Big thanks goes out to nhindian for this one in a recent trade! Shared this one during the One Year Anniversary of My Wreck Tasting! Served from growler into a Crooked Stave ‘Crooked Line’ tulip. Poured a ruby red-orange with a half finger off-white head that subsided to a minimal amount quickly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, wood, caramel, caramel hop, and dark fruit. The flavor was of sweet malt, wood, caramel, dark fruit, fruit, caramel hop, and fruit hop. It had a light feel on the palate with medium carbonation. Overall this was a fairly great brew. Everything going on in this one worked really well together. The nice sweetness from the caramel and fruit really made this one easy to drink and kept your palate craving more after each sip. I can honestly see why this one won gold at GABF this year. Really well done!

Pours a deep ruddy brown color with a tan head around an inch. Good retention.
Smells of spices, caramel, vanilla and bourbon.
Rich bourbon and cinnamon flavor, with vanilla, caramel, and some apple sweetness.
Full body with slightly stinging carbonation and a boozey warmth.
A really fantastic heavy sipper of an ale, I hope they continue to do this beer because I would have it all the time.

Pours a hazy brown color with an off white head. In the aroma, bourbon, sweet vanilla, and a note of earthiness. In the taste, mellow oak, with a nice presence of bourbon and vanilla. A small bite and a medium bodied mouthfeel, with a small dry bourbon in the aftertaste. Nice bourbon, with a sweet texture, yet somewhat mellow and enjoyable.
