Midlands Mild

LOOK: On cask, pours a dark brown with a white foam collar. Leaves lace on the glass. Fine clarity.
SMELL: Coffee, bakers chocolate. Roasted malts, a bit of char. Coffee grounds.
TASTE: In the flavor, a heavily roasted brew. Coffee and milk chocolate flavors again, with a small bitterness in the finish. It actually finishes more-ish with a dry finish. Nice toast, roast and bitterness. Pretty straightforward, but enjoyable.
FEEL: Medium bodied, well carbonated, with a slightly dry finish.
OVERAll: A mild in terms of alcohol, but not in flavor, this is a rich malty brew reminiscent of a chilled espresso. Pretty decent stout-like cask conditioned mild ale.
