Dark Brown/copper color with amber highlights. Served with a thin tan head that leaves good lacing as you drink. The aroma is of sweet malt and a touch of smoke, but yet still very clean and fresh. The taste is smooth and malty, with a subtle yet evident smoke note. A bit of fruit creeps in, but the finish is clean, with an aftertaste of smoky malt. Good bitterness in the finish. The mouthfeel is solid, and the drinkability is very good. A great seasonal offering from CBW.
