Pours a muddy brown color, little head, no lace to speak of. Aroma of nutty malts, cooked veggies, tea and fruit. In the taste, roundly malty, with notes of v-8 carrot juice. Sweet and vegetative flavors, with some nutty malt. A little bitterness and toast on the back end. Medium bodied, slick but carbonated feel. Overall this is a strange ale, but not bad.

St. Agricola, in a Mad Mex pint.
Looks like a muddy brown ale with a thin wisp of wannabe head.
Earl Grey tea, dark caramel, barley, citrusy hop twang, and an overseas yeast element with attached nuttiness. Oil of Bergamot is right in the front, though.
Tastes of medicinal Oil of Bergamot, tea-like maltiness with dry caramel and toffee notes, bright orange-y hops, herbal notes, and leafy bitterness in the tail. I mention hop flavors, but the malt and the Earl Grey tones drive the flavor profile. Unique and sessionable with a low-alcohol presence and some crispness that peels away from the mild sweetness. Tangy for a brown ale. Perhaps more fitting as a Mild. Has English character, even besides the breakfast tea notes. Carbonated to medium delivery with an oily body.
I like this offering. Not earth-shattering, just comforting.
