Our first west coast IPA is led by Simcoe hops and features Mosaic and farm-sourced Motueka from New Zealand, for a refreshing and dry IPA with notes of lime zest, papaya, orange sherbet, and a bright, grassy dankness.

16oz can. No date. First batch. West Coast IPA. 7.2%. Sample from the brewery.
Bright, clear, golden with super lively carbonation and a two-finger thick foamy white head that sticks and clings to the bottom of the glass. Aroma is like sticking your nose in a tropical fruit cup. Smooth, creamy, medium-bodied with a slight chewiness about it. Sweet and fruity upfront, but not cloying. Tons of papaya,, overripe mango, some pineapple, stone fruit, lime zest, and melon rind. Astringent in the middle with a nice bite of old-school bitterness that leaves a chalky, aspirin edge. Herbal. Pine. Grassy. Dank. Finish is a bit bready and grainy with some toasty and honey action in the back. Dries up nicely.

So here we go - a straight up West Coast IPA brewed on the West Coast - and you know what? It delivers like Julio Urias in the clutch. Yeah, World Series on the cusp of victory and you straight take a fastball down the pipe lolz. I like dat. This one is just smooth, hoppy, and bitter like the Energizer Bunny after a sugar free Red Bull. Now, I’m not exactly gonna get down on one knee for this beer, but I’d still invite it to the junior prom.
Peace!
