No matter your favorite candy bar, it’s hard to pass up A LITTLE JOY. Aiming for a Chocolate-Coconut-Almond Candy Bar-inspired Pastry Stout was a blissful challenge, but the joy of almonds is always motivating. Conditioned on Ghana Kome Cacao Nibs, Coconut, Roasted Almonds, and Vanilla, this 10% stout invokes a delightful adult dessert bar. Exhilarating flavors of rich chocolate and sweet nuttiness parlay an indulgent beginning into a more nuanced array of savory almond and deep cacao that’s simply… joyful.

nothing chemical in the smell. nice furry tan slathering/coating on the sides of the glass. genuine flavors mix with beautiful aromas to form the complete Almond Joy candy bar experience. being ten percent, i assumed this would be the same recipe the Bruery uses for their 'collection' of mid-level abv 'stouts', but this is so much cleaner. ultra black against the tan topper, it looks like it could almost be a Guinness, but it is so much more rich and flavorful, yet so much more quaffable also! no brutal/bizarre aftertaste. probably the cleanest 'flavored' stout i have had in years. Like Boston's albums using no synthesizer or falsely generated sounds, this sweet little masterpiece gives you the sugar you crave without the bitter residual you get with other stouts, and genuinely tastes like the candy bar you want it to be. i honestly havent gotten this excited about a beer in years. This is a 'Pastry Stout' so you expect it to be sweet and thick (maybe a little Angry Chair gooieness?), but it's not. it's thinner than most pastry stouts i have had, and less head-pounding headache-y diabetes blood-pressure inducing than most others including Bottle Logic's formidable an sticky offerings. i have already messaged Mr. K's to ask if there is still another 4-pak on the shelf....
