550ml wax top bottle poured into a snifter
A- pours jet black in color, thick as syrup, wit a one-finger foamy dark brown head that reduces to a ring
S- the barrels shine in the aroma, this one uses Thomas H Handy and Stagg Jr barrels and they leap out of the glass; sharp oak and barrel juice, vanilla, caramel, peppery rye. Under the barrel notes, dark chocolate brownie batter aromas emerge, with caramel, and creamy coconut. Nutty notes pop through, with both pistachio, walnut and almond distinguishable. Even the honey can be found before light cinnamon closes it out. Every adjunct is distinguishable, very impressive
T- rich dark chocolate brownie batter up front with an immediate pistachio flavor that follows. Mid-palate brings out rich barrel notes, heavy barrel juice, oak, peppery rye and vanilla. Mid-palate brings out the almond and walnut, along with a sweet honey note that compliments. The finish gives more dark chocolate brownie batter with light cinnamon emerging. Lingers of fantastic barrel notes
M-heavy body with moderate carbonation leads to a thick and velvety mouthfeel that turns chewy into a creamy, warming finish
O- simply outstanding, every adjunct was noticeable with the honey and nut additions really standing out. The top quality bourbon barrels made it even better.
