On tap at the brewery's biergarten in Pendleton SC.
This clear, dark amber colored Imperial IPA came topped with a relatively creamy, semi-durable off-white head.
There's a load of rum and rum barrel in both the aroma and the flavor. Fortunately, this seems to be quality rum. I gather the rum is rather sweet as well since the bitterness seems low despite a high IBU score. Naturally, both the aroma and the flavor are rather boozy but not to an objectionable level.
Mouthfeel. Smooth near full body with the high ABV fully evident.
Overall. One of the best rum barrel aged beers I've run across.
