Pours a dark brown color. A large foam head retains well, lots of lacing. Good looking brew.
The nose is biscuity and toasty with roasty notes of chocolate. Aromas of fruity and floral spices, semi dank earthy hops, honey, caramel and citrus.
A smooth malty base, bready and biscuity, is well balanced by the gently assertive bitterness of the roasted malts and earthy resiny hops. Notes of dark toast, dark chocolate, dark fruit, and lemongrass.
Medium bodied and very smooth. Finishes pretty dry with roasty and resiny notes. Carbonation is moderate.
Well executed Brown Ale, solid, balanced and very smooth. I would have again.
