Had Frictionless Surface at Hop Atomica, Savannah, on draft into clear plastic beer cup (!).
Pours apparently medium brown but actually deep amber orange, with clarity and 1-finger very light tan head, which soon dissipates to a persistent film, leaving sketchy lace down the glass. Aromas of mild roast malt and sweet honey off pour, and continuing, with a little expected sulfur funk as warms. On tasting, begins smooth, sweet mild caramel malt, then a hint of light orchard fruit, before a little more caramel, and a nicely neutral crispy hop, but still smooth hop finish.
Simple, well-crafted, smooth and refreshing, with a fun color to enliven the experience.
