Copenhagen 22/12 2022. 44 cl can from Kihoskh, Sønder Boulevard, Kbh. V. Blue anf greenish can with a inner glow and Monkey Paws logo with the simian head.
Pours unclear - almost opaque - yellow with a big white head. Settles as thin and patchy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet, malty and fruity odor mingling with a tart and sourish, citric scent. Caramel, peach and pineapple. Tart clementine and grapefruit.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, smooth, pleasantly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a light sweetness followed by a strong, tart, wild bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit searing. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
They call it a Christmas NEIPA on the can. A very tropical Christmas, I suppose.

440 ml can, as Monkey Brew Nova Christmas NEIPA, from Gulating ølutsalg, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Hazy pale yellow colour, large to moderate white head. Aroma of pineapple and other tropical fruits, also citrus. Citric mouthfeel. The flavour has soft tropical fruits, also citrus and pine needles, moderately bitter finish. Nice and refreshing beer, but there is absolutely nothing "Christmassy" about it.
