This was another beer that I picked up at Bayman Liquor in Cotter, Arkansas not too long ago when I was passing through it, as I was hoping that one of the Norfork offerings I bought would measure up. No, this wasn't as bad as the Woodsman Pilsner but when IPA's are a dime a dozen, nearly anything bought off the shelf would be better than this unspectacular offering...
Muted gold, bubbly enough, and topped off with plenty of head, the appearance was this beer's best attribute as the lacing left behind was in the form of a few, thick and uneven rings that covered quite a bit of my pint glass. Bread, grain, and cracker in the nose as the taste had enough biscuit and mineral water to keep this hard and quite heavy-handed for an IPA. Some hops, some bitterness, some heft, something that would have given this color and tang would have been nice but the end result of this beer was something to be chugged mindlessly with only a minimal amount of fall and citrus fruit to keep it from being totally ubiquitous.
No date was to be found anywhere as I saw just one or two large bits of sediment that settled at the bottom of the liquid. More orange and grapefruit that was mentioned on the label would have been great but as it was, this was something to be quaffed while fishing out on the lake. Only worth a go for the label...

12 fl oz pull-tab can:
Hop profile is mediocre...floral in a generic way, and lacking sufficient depth of flavour. 2-row/pale malts are accompanied by an odd biscuity character. Unwelcome marmalade hop flavour.
Overcarbonated. Unrefreshing.
Not particularly drinkable.
Sierra Nevada Torpedo is ~$7.99-$8.59 across the contiguous U.S.A...who would buy this over that repeatedly, let alone less widely available IPAs that are better but available at or below the price of this?

From a 6pk of cans purchased in Oklahoma City.
Update: According to the brewery website, this is a New England IPA @ 14 IBUs
Appearance:
Cloudy, yeasty (Next time I should decant off sediment. Can-conditioned? Frothy sudsy and long lasting head that sticks well to the glass.
Aroma:
Lemongrass, crackers and pineapple.
Flavor:
Juicy, Hops are moderate and malt is minimal. Bitterness is low for style, more like an NEIPA. Dry finish. Powdery from the residual yeast and possibly other particulates.
Mouthfeel:
Medium mouthfeel, low carbonation but within style. Powdery from the yeast.
Overall:
This is not my jam personally. I don't enjoy these juicy NEIPAs all that much. It is certainly drinkable. If you are a fan of NEIPAs this one is worthy.

Pours a hazy honey color with 2+ fingers of fluffy Ivory colored head. Never clears, Above average head retention & lacing
S: Doughy, lemons, some sulphur notes once warm
T: Cakey, some grassyness & lemon up front. Sulphur once warm , plenty of dryness, grassyness & bready sweetness, plus pear notes. Finishes dry, grassy with a little pear & lemon
MF; medium body, slight carbonation, decent balance
Drinks decent, a throwback to kind of IPA you'd see a lot of in the 90s
