This is the juiciest sour we have ever brewed. Brewed with a heaping amount of Boysenberries, this sour has the juicy intensity of blackberries and the sweet, floral tart of raspberries. Gorgeous reddish purple in color, this batch is sinfully good. Contains Milk Sugar.

On tap at Machinehead Brewing
A: Pours hazy rich magenta with a frothy pale pink head that settles to a thin layer and
S: Juicy boysenberry, pleasant lactic tartness, and a little crackery malt.
T: Fairly big hit of lemony lactic tartness that slowly lets let's the boysenberry show through, with a little underlying crackery malt.
M: A little on the lighter side of medium body, moderately lively carbonation, faintly creamy, definitely got some acidic bite.
O: I love boysenberry so I had high hopes for this one. Unfortunately the tartness of the berries combined with the lactic souring process and made that side take over and kinda kept the actual berry flavor in the background. It doesn't need to be full jammy sweet, but definitely needs a little something to help balance things.
