Blueberry and Blood Orange Sour. Thick jammy blueberries mixed with tart and citrusy Blood Oranges add a fruity complexity to this delicious sour.

On tap at MachineHead Brewing
A: Pours hazy purplish magenta with a pale pink head that fades to a thin layer and leaves a little spotty lacing.
S: Blood orange complexity, a little lactic tartness, slight funk, blueberry jam, and just a touch of sugar cookie from the malt base.
T: Jammy blueberry pie filling met with rich blood orange, mild lactic tartness, all set over a sugar cookie like malt base.
M: A touch on the fuller side of medium body, slightly soft carbonation keeps things super smooth.
O: I think pretty much all of the berry beers I've had before have been just berries. I know berries and citrus play nice together, but this is my first beer that shows that off. Really nice balance, creamy smooth. They don't mention lactose, but it drinks like it has a little in there.
Would make a stupid good beer float with some vanilla ice cream.
