Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours slightly hazy golden amber with a frothy cream white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Citrus zest, pine, underlying exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, a touch grassy, underlying earthy herbal notes, bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Citrus, lemon, grapefruit, and orange, a little pine, exotic, tropical, and stone fruit, white grape, grilled pineapple, mango, guava, gooseberry, apricot, peach, and a hint of papaya, subtle earthy herbal notes, a touch grassy, bready malt, and caramel sweetness.
M: A bit on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation.
O: By some strange coincidence, this is the 3rd beer featuring HBC 586 and Mosaic + (Insert 3rd hop here) in the last 2 weeks, so I've got some experience with this combo. I think the Nelson provides the best complimentary flavors out of the ones I've had. My 1 critique here would be that I wish it was a little lighter and drier, closer to a "true" West Coast IPA.
