Shadow of the Sun is our massive Imperial Stout forged in darkness at 15.8% ABV. Waves of deep cocoa, molten dark chocolate, and rich roast lead the charge, layered with heaps of cocoa nibs for an intense, bittersweet depth. Cara Cara orange peels cut through the shadow, releasing bright citrus oils that lift the chocolate with a subtle, luxurious orange essence. Full-bodied, decadent, and dangerously smooth, this is a slow-sipping stout where dark meets light—and the sun barely escapes.

Used motor oil dark brown to black with an otherwise fluid surface.
Toasty cacao and orange are apparent right up front, but the crackly carbonation also lifts espresso and tobacco notes without any booze, perhaps hinting at molasses.
Crazy drinkable for the strength.
