Blind-tasted except for the beer's name and brewery/country, zero reviews below read (yet!)...
L- Pours rich golden amber, clear, with minor sediment left in the bottle. 3-4mm fine-bubble white foam cap.
S- Mild, just a soft facet of blended Belgian yeast notes and a light hint of liquor/ABV%.
T- Rounded on the palate, Belgian yeast notes, then in the finish is a dry hop + pretty hefty alcohol flourish, that licks over the palate with a zing reminiscent of doing a watered down shot. This aspect seems to build, by half way through it's coming over as really quite blunt.
F- An ABV% + hops combo zing on the palate combine to make a very impactful beer. In fact my that just did that er... spasm thing when you swallow a hefty shot of spirit/liquor and it goes into like a 3 second spasm.
O- If you haven't had many high ABV% beers it's probably quite fun, but if you've had a range you might conclude the ABV% is way more prominent than it needs to be; and it becomes a distraction. I've had plenty of higher ABV% beers than this and the ones that really sing, that have that magic about them, are those that aren't shouty about it. I can finish this one but I wouldn't buy it again, I find it unrefined, unbalanced and disappointing.
Review/scoring all done, now the reveal, I get to read the bottle lables to see what I missed! ==> Contains sugar, and it's a Blonde apparently.
330ml bottle BB: 19/05/2022 Euro2.50 Bought from BeerMania/Belgium as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London. #1867.

Served in a red wine glass from the bottle.
Appearance: Unfiltered amber with medium bubbles and sediments throughout the glass.
Smell: Yeast scent. Sweet with sugar aroma and deep sour scent which lingers on the nostrils.
Taste: sweet and malty all at once. Lightly sour with a grape notes. Think of white wine with dose of malts.
Mouth: Medium carbonation with a full body.
Overall: Good brew. Hit me good like a warm bread paired with grapes and wine. Salud!

50cl on-tap at Brasserie Du Lomard, Brussels (€5.50):
Very pleasant but very strong stuff too, this beer was quite complex with a good combination of fruits kicking things off, most notably apples & pears but some grapes & even a little plum showed at points too. There was plenty of alcohol coming through at times but the caramel sweetness partially covered this & the balance was great which made it easier to drink than expected too. It was warming towards the end & great to sip away at; definitely a beer that I'll seek out again if possible.
