Had Viridity at the Elsewhere brewpub, Atlanta, on draft into tulip pint.
Pours deep, almost amber-gold with clarity and 1-finger off-white head, with good retention, leaving some sketchy lace. Big hop spice and an undercurrent of caramel malt aromas off pour, soon joined by citrus fruits and wild berry aromas. Begins with a nice pine bite, over a smooth caramel malt body, with some mild fruits, then a little hop spice joins, and carries into good ol' biting grapefruit, and the start of a bitter yet somewhat spicy finish.
Nice contemporary World IPA, with old-fashioned IPA malt backbone, traditional West Coast IPA pine and citrus, up to-the-minute New England IPA juiciness, and Belgian IPA hop spice for good measure.

Thanks to my brother Mark, who lives in Atlanta, for getting me some beers from this brewery. Poured out of a 12 oz can into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a pretty clear, just slightly cloudy/hazy medium golden color. Has a white head that's about an inch thick when first poured. Settles eventually to a thick ring lining the inside of the glass, a nice big cluster swirl of film layer surface foam, and excellent lacing. Aromas of bready, biscuity malts, tropical fruit notes of citrus, a hint of pineapple, melon, and mango. Fruity, earthy, and piney smells are present here in my nostrils as well. A very good aroma to be sure. The taste is quite similar, with bready, biscuity malts to start off with that has a slight caramel sweetness. Fruity notes of the aforementioned citrus, pineapple, melon, and mango that gives way to some piney and earthy hops. Also a hint of toasted nuttiness that rounds out the flavor profile. The hop bitterness is really well integrated here. Good balance and all the different flavors really come through quite nicely indeed here. Has a crisp, yet smooth, medium bodied mouthfeel with moderate carbonation. Has a clean finish, and that melon fruit and toasted nuttiness really sit on the palate nicely for the aftertaste. Very glad I got a chance to enjoy this!
