On draught at the brewery. Served in a stemless glass. It pours an opaque, light muddy gold color with a big, fluffy, bright white cap and lots of thick, soapy lacing. Very attractive pour. The nose offers fresh lemon, lime, tangerine pine needles, and stone fruit. There is also a tease of coconut. The taste largely follows. It opens with tart, refreshing lemon, lime, and peach over a dry cracker base. As it warms, there are also notes of tangerine and resinous pine. It's clean and not very bitter The bill of Waimea and HBC1019 hops is novel very complimentary. What separates this APA from others, though, is the use of coconut milk. It's in the background and nicely balances the citrus without distracting. This ale is as lite and crisp as they come with lively carbonation. It's a very easy drinker at 5.6% ABV. Overall, this is a fun Pale Ale to drink. It would be ideal for summertime, outdoor drinking.
