This one is very dark brown, with cola or mahogany highlights, and seems to be clear. A thin, light chestnut head briefly builds before leaving fine bubbles on a Pretentious Glass Company Imperial snifter and retreating to a ring.
The aroma is boozy, with strong coconut and unexpected Peppermint Patties. The roasted malt struggles to reveal itself.
The flavors are surprisingly neutral and lack the aromatic follow through. Bitterness is mild against light sweetness. Some coconut and chocolate are noticeable with effort. The finish is long and modest, revealing light astringency and cocoa powder. Warmth does it a favor by bringing these flavors forward, although not much.
The body is thin to medium, with alcohol dramatically below expectations. Again, the aroma-suggested elements would be more present than they actually are. Carbonation is light and it has a watery texture.
Stylistic disappointments aside, this is an enjoyable beer that would probably go better with casual conversation than while reading.

Can to snifter.
Coconut is very nice in the nose. Very smooth and tasty with coconut and cocoa lasting throughout. I don't get much else in terms of tasting notes.
A bit on the weak side. Approaching medium body. Low carbonation, zero retention.
Certainly enjoyable.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour with a filmy beige head. Roasty aroma and coconut. Taste is coconut, sweet. The coconut doesn't taste like extract, and is neither overpowering or subtle, but it does feel a little off balance.
