Baronesse Pilsner Style Lager Beer
This beer was brewed from Baronesse barley that was sourced from the Palouse region of Washington State. It is a variety that was born in Germany, but which found a particularly suitable habitat at Joseph’s Grainery, a 5th generation family farm who has shepherded it along for many years now. Brewed as a Pilsner style lager, it brings notes of fresh hay, alfalfa, dried chamomile florals, and a wet stones minerality.

Crystal clear body, light gold color; thick, lively carbonation; thick, fluffy, white head. Gentle grain aroma with a bit of grassy herbal character. bread crust. The taste follows along the lines of the smell; mild malt flavor; light, delicate sweetness; grassy and very mild floral notes; light hop bitterness. Light body; crisp; soft dryness.
A nice, relatively light and delicate pilsner for enjoyment in the upcoming warmer days.
Pouring temperature: 50 °F; bottling data: #87
