Durand Purchase. Served cool into a pint glass. Brewed with Nelson Sauvin and Hallertau Blanc hops. Canned August 1, 2023.
Appearance - Hazy turbid beer with the same goldish-white coloration as all the new juicy and dank IPA's have. Multiple fingers of dense frothy head and a great ring of lacing after the head begins its inevitable decline.
Smell - White grapes, some mustiness, hints of melon too. Quite fruity with intense aromatics.
Taste - White grapes, overripe canataloupe, quite boozy too. Some prickly hop oils at the end lend for a danker and leafier finish. The fruit is star up front. Kind of a raw and unrefined taste, but the intensity is great.
Mouthfeel - Super smooth and easy drinking, lower than average carbonation, extra creaminess, with a full body and some booziness. Prickly astringency on the tongue after close.
Overall - Not the most refined DIPA out there but the grape and cantaloupe combo is very nice and the intensity is refreshing. Well worth a purchase if you can find it.
