Our bus tour stopped here for a tour of the malting operation which included drinking a beer in their taproom at the end. It was a nice tour and informative and included the warehouse where you could observe pallets being loaded for shipment. (Warning – the malting building has a moderate amount of stairs.) The taproom is a nice facility behind the retail store. It had 8 beers available plus 4 NA beers. I had the Pilsener and my wife had the Smoked Porter. Both were very good beers. Well worth the visit.

Visited their Fanshop, which serves as their brewery outlet. Pleasant, friendly staff. The woman who helped me spoke English, German and Japanese, so their staff is multilingual. The provide a list of their brews, which is a BIG list, but not all are available at any one time. Nicely arranged and it definitely is used to sell their main product - malt. and they brew many varieties and styles of beer to show how their malt can be used. They provide recipes of their beers if you want them, interestingly enough. Bamberger Hofbrau is also brewed in small quantities by the brewery. Great visit and it should be a part of everyone's Bamberg itinerary.
