I suggest you take the precaution of opening with care. This was well rested/chilled and opened very slowly, luckily, as it took literally 2 minutes to progressively ease the cap off vs vast CO2 rising up in the bottle and foaming slightly from beneath the cap. Anyway now decanted...
L- Mid to darker amber, only slightly hazy. Somehow I seem to have left most of the sediment in the bottle. Poured with 1Cm off-white cap (which ps 10mins later is holding well).
S- Typical Belgian fruity and somewhat spicy esters.
T- Very estery (fruit notes like pear and Pear-Drops), then Boof! the ABV% trumpets it's presence on my palate.
F- It's certainly quite rich but hasn't veered close to anything sweet. Carbonation in the mouth is prominent.
O- It's very nice indeed. This brewery are really giving 'The Belgian Trappists' a good run for their money.
330ml bottle £4.35 BB: Jan-22 Batch#3. Bought from BeautfulBeers/BurySt.Edmunds as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.
