L- A rich chestnut brown. I decanted the first 300ml and it's almost completely clear, the remaining 200ml... we'll see. Has a good looking 1Cm fine-bubble mid-tan head. (ps. It's unfiltered, decant in one go if poss).
S- I hadn't re-read any info on this and was really surprised that the first note for me is prominent smoke! Then I noticed the beer's full name/style. Not much else gets past the smoke for me.
T- Right into smoke again! That dominates. I also get some deep roasted notes, and perhaps smoked malt.
F- The ABV/Feel are pretty light really [vs the Taste!].
O- The smoke took me by surprise, it reminds me loosely of German Rauchbier. I can drink it in small amounts but am not much drawn to them. I find it a bit of an unecessary distraction.
500ml bottle BB: hand-written onto rear lable! July 2021. Bought from BeautfulBeers/BurySt.Edmunds as part of a large pick-your own consignment to London.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
