This one-off is a big step up from the previous coffee stout, weighing in at over 9%. Rich and full bodied, this one looked great in the glass with a nice frothy head that hung around. Big coffee aromas back by nice toast wafted up from the goblet. I really liked this beer except for a slight alcohol tang on the finish. It's far from a fatal flaw, I'd just prefer it wasn't there. This was a nice followup to the Bourbon Pumpkin Ale from the firkin that evening.
