-served in pilsner type glass, probably due to abv%,
A: A very neat clarity, with a standardized Iron Hill orange coloring that seems fluid among most of their drinks. The head was again a creamy froth substance, most likely wheat, and sticks admirably well along the vessel walls. Which is a good sign none the less of clean glass ware of consistently brewing.
S: A very light grassiness, hay and citrus. Again, light is the key phase here, more so that is hard to distinguish, and weakly holding, per style,
T: Flavor of grassy-hay hops, and dry citrus is evident, but very light in substance. Very smooth flavor, but less bitter, some pine and west coast influence, but hardly detectable of the reported 65 ibus. Balanced and spicy at times.
M: Some tingly and soft body feel, hardly a footnote and worth mentioning. Needs some sting and hop biterness to bring life to it.
O: Overall i was saving this for last because i didn't want to wreck my palate before hand. In reality this was the softest and most balanced of the drinks I consumed that day at Iron Hill. Very smooth and balanced, but a bit disappointing in terms of what I was anticipating. Lacked any real malt and hop brutalization that I would come to expect from a 2xip. Neatly brewed, but disappointing to the die hard hop head.
