Before warming, getting good rum and roasted malt. Picks up as it warms from dark fruit to cherry, smooth. Great ageing. Bottle from Maple Shade location.

Review from old notes taken a year ago. The brew appears dark brown in color with no head, just a couple large bubbles hanging around the perimeter that are quick to pop.
The smell is fruity and earthen with light roast and chocolate maltiness which is unique and enjoyable. The taste is tart and earthen with bretty leather blending to roast and a hint of smoke in the aftertaste.
This is medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Overall not bad. I recall learning of this brew and each of its barrel aged iterations and really wanting to try each...then I heard about their steep price and tried to find someone to split the set with me so we could try them all. After sampling the rum version, im glad I didnt find someone willing to shell out the big price tag, its good but its not upper tier super exclusive price good.
