Pours a clear, bright golden yellow color with a two finger frothy white head that very slowlys fades into a thick, lasting ring. Excellent retention taking a while to settle and leaving large streaks of soapy lacing behind.
Slightly earthy floral hop aroma with soil, fresh cut grass and pine notes countered by sweet fruit and pale malt backbone. The grassy saaz-like hops are followed by some melon, apple and pear sweetness before the biscuit and cracker-y malts come in.
Light body with a crisp spicy hop bite that lingers over the sweeter notes and pale malt into a dry finish. Kind of like their session pale on steroids. Lots of grassy hop bitterness along with some hay, straw and pine needle followed by subtle lemon zest, stronger pilsner malt sweetness, biscuit and cracker. Hop flavor is strong but the sweetness is too strong for my preference. Easy to drink but not very interesting. I wouldn't want more than a four oz pour.
