Pours a dark chocolate brown color that's nearly opaque with faint mahogany edges and a half finger beige head that quickly settles into a thin, lasting ring. Spotty lacing left behind.
Sweet, slightly smokey aroma with a decent balance of roast and sweeter malt notes. Takes a while for it to warm up and show some complexity. Hints of roasted coffee bean, oatmeal and toast followed by dark chocolate, lactose, caramel malt and toffee. The chocolate comes out in the nose but the coconut is invisible. Kind of disappointing given the description.
On the thinner side and slightly waters down which is really disappointing considering it's nitro and that they specifically put this on nitro to give it a creamy mouthfeel. Decent amount of roast with some coffee grinds, bittersweet dark chocolate, oatmeal and toast but it's not all that robust. Slightly burnt and on the verge of becoming acrid. Sweetness comes in for balance with lighter chocolate, caramel and toffee. Kind of bland and again the coconut is pretty faint. Doesn't live up to the promise of the description. Light bodied, bland and needs more coconut flavor.
