Pours a fairly hazy, pale golden yellow color with bright straw colored edges and a two finger frothy white head that slowly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Very good retention, taking a while to settle and leaving large streaks of soapy lacing in its path.
Slight earthy floral hop aroma with some melon and citrus character followed by bready yeast and a pale malt backbone. Was expecting more of a dank/resinous quality but the earthy characteristics are pretty subtle. Decent amount of melon, tropical fruit and subtle citrus zest along with grainy crackers and light malt sweetness.
Lighter body than expected with a blast of dank, earthy hop bitterness that lingers over the sweeter notes and pale malt bill into a bone dry finish. Crisp and refreshing with spritzy carbonation. Dry bitterness with some pine needle and spruce tip countered by melon, tart grapefruit and citrus rind sweetness. Pale biscuit malt with bread and graham cracker. Well balanced with subtle boozy heat in finish.
