The Description from Iron Hill, Newark, DE - Flavors of smoked malts and pumpkin pie spices blend with the roasted malt characters and chocolate notes of our award winning Pig Iron Porter.
Pours a dark copper with nice foam which dissipates after about 10 minutes. The nose has nice smoke and malty goodness with a bit of allspice. Flavor starts with nice amount of smoke, then to pumpkin pie spices, then a nice bitter chocolate finish. Though the foam dissipates, there is a nice carbonation to it and a lighter feel. Not a syrupy ale, which some pumpkin brews can be.
Overall, I enjoyed this one and think it's definitely worth a trip to get it on tap.
