Served at Iron Hill Brewery's Brewers' Reserve Night in West Chester, PA. Brewmasters from Iron Hill's West Chester and Media, PA, restaurants, as well as their Media, PA, restaurant, were all on hand serving their reserve brews. This one from master brewer Bob Barrar in Media was reddish-brown in color with a slight rocky head. Faintly tangy aroma, like sour apples. Slightly tangy taste as well, balanced nicely with a caramel sweetness. Dry finish, with a lingering tanginess. One of many treats served on this night!

Scarlet, Great look with a nice top layer of foam which lasts the entire time you enjoy the brew. Sweet initial taste with a tart finish. A good beer but nothing puts it over the top in relation to the other Grand Cru's I have tasted.
