Light golden color.
Aroma with notes of malt sweetness and herbal hops.
Flavor with notes of noble grassy hops, faint honey, lager yeast and malt sweetness. Dry and bitter aftertaste.
Light body with appropriate carbonation.
True Pilsner, very balanced.

A thanks goes out to the incredible woodychandler for this beer. Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a pale yellow color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of malts, lemons. Taste is the same as the aroma, hops are present. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a highly crushable beer.

Iron Hill Brewery "King's Gold"
12 fl. oz. can coded "HAIL TO THE KING CANNED ON 01/20/22 10:54"
$2 @ Docs World of Beer, Philadelphia, PA
Notes via stream of consciousness: Clear and golden in color beneath a finger's width of bright white foam that settles readily to a thin cap and eventually breaks up leaving only a collar behind. In the nose it's grainy and lightly floral and herbal. The flavor follows with a firm bitterness to balance it and some spicy hop character in the finish. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp. All in all this is a really nicely done Pilsner that's highly quaffable at 5% ABV.

L: clear gold like all good pilsners
S: slightly skunky hops
T: crisp drinkable hops, but there's a certain indescribable quality to it. Fizzy is what I would say but as a taste. The hops come off slightly milder, but linger on the tongue for longer.
F: light with good carbonation.
O: it's worth trying if you can find it and are in the mood for a pilsner, but pilsners remain limited by the style in that they have extremely little room to show anything off. This beer does a great job playing with what limited space there is to work with.
