Irontinus Weizenbock

A thanks to the creator of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a muddy river color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of banana, malts. Taste is dark breads, some banana and lime. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

This beer poured a hazy cola amber that faded towards gold near the edges with an irregular film of dirty white atop.

Smells of banana, ginger bread and sour rye with a pervasive creamy bubble gum.

The taste seems to accentuate a sour snap of Sprite and lime with a bold barley and banana cream pie. Finishes off with a lingering sweetness. The balance between lime, grains and banana is pretty remarkable.

Feels a touch thick with a crisp carbonation, but clean.

Not too bad, but probably a better beer to be had with dinner.
