This bad boy pours a golden color with a nice sized off-white head. Lots of lacing stuck to my buddy's glass. I'm a Mug Club member so the color and head/lacing is sometimes hard to tell. It's nice to have a non-member order the same thing right next to you!
The aroma was hugely hoppy. Strong , spicy, citrus hops are at the forefront. Hints of sweet caramel malts ling in the background.
The flavor was amazing. The hoppiest brew I have ever had her at the Newark Iron Hill. Huge citrus hop presence pricks at your tongue. Slightest bit of sweetness from the malts tries to peak through near the end, but hose glorious hops beat it back.
Solid mouthfeel. Heavier medium body. Big hop oil feel coats the inside of your mouth. Bitter, drying aftertaste makes the mug empty quickly. I couldn't get the bartender's attention quick enough when I was empty. The abv was felt after a couple, though, which keeps the drinkablility from being a 5. Great beer!
