On tap at Iron Hill, Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Pours a clear golden straw color with visible carbonation. A moderate frothy head retains well; looks good for the style.
The nose opens with notes of sweet grass followed by bready, biscuity and crackery malts. Developing floral and earthy hops aromas along with a touch of citrus.
Light bodied for the most part but with some nice malt fullness that highlights doughy and bready malts and dry crackery malts. Crisp mouthfeel and lively carbonation is aided by peppery and grassy spices. Bright citrusy flavors evoke orange peel and lemon. Nice easy going bitterness provides great balance. Clean and dry finish, very refreshing.
I feel they did a really good job at hitting the hallmarks of the German Pilsner style. Very tasty and refreshing!
