A- Poured with a creamy, well-retained, cream colored head and substantial lacing... over a hazy honey-colored body (no visible carbonation).
S- Mild aroma, which may be attributed to the beer being served to cold (approx. 40 degrees out of the cask). Mild crackerlike malt and mild low-alpha hop aromas on the nose.
T- Starts out with a solid rich pale/vienna malt base, and is met midway with some moderate low-alpha earthy hop flavor. The finish exhibits a very soft bitterness that lingers on the tongue. Toasty and somewhat bready throughout the drink. Delicious.
M- Medium body; heavily textured, presumably from yeast, and a wonderful creaminess imparted by a delicate carbonation (thank you cask conditioning!). No astringency.
D- This beer is an absolute pleasure to drink, and it highlights all the good reasons to drink from the cask!
