Review #750. Glad it's a good beer!
On tap at the brewpub, 7/30/10.
A-Pour is a golden apricot, slightly hazy with a moderate amount of effervescent white head and a bit of sticky lacing.
S-Green apple, pear, oak and white wine grapes.
T-Starts nicely creamy with crisp apple notes, chardonnay grapes and oak. Belgian yeast chracter adds a nice expected zing. Some white pepper notes (brett?). Alcohol is completely hidden.
M-Light side of medium with moderate fine carbonation.
D-I'll say this. I almost paid the $40+ price tag a growler of this would have carried. The price did not stop me so much as the knowledge that we could not finish it in time. It is 9.5%, though it does not taste it at all.
The list of "favorite IH beer ever" keeps getting longer. This one is battling for top spot with Media's Perfect 10 and WC's Chuck Norris's Beard. Awesome!
