Poured from a 25.3oz bottle into pint glass on February 2023. The bottle is vintage 2022. I bought this as the Ardmore brewpub, and drank it about 1 month after purchase.
Appearance: Deep amber/orange. Very little haze, and brilliant colors.
Smell: Pleasant, with a spicy aroma. Strong pumpkins and pepper aromas dominate. Some caramel aroma to a lesser extent.
Taste: Very nice and a unique taste. I can definitely taste the pumpkin, and run from the barrel aging. There are some spicy flavors which makes for a unique taste. I like this better than most other pumpkin ales I have tried.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, and thinner than I expected. Strong alcohol, which matches the 10.5% listed.
This is an interesting seasonal beer by Iron Hill. It is one of my favorite pumpkin ales, probably only 2nd to Weyerbacher's Imperial Pumpkin ale which is still my favorite. I would buy this again.
