Thanks to mday for giving me the heads up on this one.
Pours a moderately-dark orange color with a single-finger white head with moderate retention. A tad bit of lacing and a nice collar as it goes down. The nose brings some tangerine as well as other citrus notes plus some light lactic character and a bit of horse blanket.
The flavor is slightly funky with a bit of light lactic sourness. There are some tropical fruits as well as some citrus peel--a bit of grapefruit, tangerine, and orange. The finish is definitely dry with a pretty good amount of funk. Slightly sweet throughout; the fruit is definitely toward the front end on this one. Some light melon notes.
This is a fairly-nice experiment, but I think they still have a bit to go. This showed enough promise to where I would certainly be interested in trying more wilds from them in the future.
