This beer honors the incredible life and legacy of our colleague and friend, Chris LaPierre. He and I were recently discussing what shape it would take, given that it was originally supposed to be something else, and equipment challenges necessitated some mid-course changes. He said he was looking forward to trying it and missed malt-forward ales. Here's to you, Lappy. We are all better people and brewers for knowing you.

Had on tap. Murky orange body with a short lived off-white cap. Promises malt forward but smells hoppy, especially pine. Taste confirms this: super hoppy but the hops are not complex, just a big wave of bitter. Traditional amber malt tones are modest at best. Feel is full and has malt and hops but flatly
